Chondroitin sulphate glycosaminoglycans contribute to widespread inferior biomechanics in tendon after focal injury

These results demonstrate that the chondroitin/dermatan sulphate glycosaminoglycans that accumulate in pathological tendon post-injury are partly responsible for the altered biomechanical properties.
