Orthopedic implant biomaterials with both osteogenic and anti-infection capacities and associated in vivo evaluation methods

This review covers orthopedic implant materials with simultaneous anti-infection and osteogenic capacities which are extremely promising for orthopedic applications. In the second part of this review, tools for evaluating antibacterial and osteogenic properties are summarized and discussed, with an emphasis on combining the two into novel in vivo models.106
