The Feldstein-Horioka puzzle in African countries: A panel cointegration analysis

► This paper studies the Feldstein-Horioka puzzle in African countries. ► We use the recently developed panel cointegration techniques. ► Our results suggest that capital is relatively mobile in African countries. ► We also show that there are marked differences in savings retention coefficients. ► These results have some policy implications.
