Optimism, delay and (in)efficiency in a stochastic model of bargaining

► I study a stochastic bargaining game in which players have optimistic beliefs. ► I show that the unique SPE of this game might involve inefficient delays. ► I also show that inefficiencies disappear when players can make offers frequently.
