Exchange rate pass-through in deflation: The case of Taiwan

► Deflation is included in studying the exchange rate pass-through and inflation. ► A nonlinear model is used to examine the degree of pass-through. ► The degree of exchange rate pass-through is found to increase in deflation. ► The increase becomes smaller when the price of oil is excluded.
