A note on the generalized linear exponential distribution

A paper on generalized linear exponential distribution (GLED) recently published by Mahmoud and Alam (2010) was found to contain several typos in their mathematical equations as well as an incorrect proof of Lemma 1. In this note, we provide corrections along with discussions to those mistakes and a numerical study to demonstrate that the formula for our proposed rth moment is accurate.
