A rapid synthesis of 1-ferrocenyl-2-arylacetylenes under ultrasound irradiation

An efficient copper- and ligand-free catalyzed sonogashira cross-coupling reaction of aryl iodides with ferrocenylacetylene by PdCl2 under ultrasound irradiation has been developed. The reaction was carried out at room temperature under ballon pressure of argon and gave the products in good yields.
