Hydrothermal in situ preparation of TiO2 particles onto poly(lactic acid) electrospun nanofibres

► Hydrolysed titanium precursor has been electrosprayed simultaneously on the continuous electrospun PLA nanofibres surface. ► Hydrothermal technique was used for in situ generation of TiO2 particles on the surface of nanofibres. ► Investigated nanofibres hybrid is a potential material for UV protection and antimicrobial activity.
