In situ synthesis of TiO2/polyethylene terephthalate hybrid nanocomposites at low temperature

► TiO2 nanoflowers were in situ grown on PET non-woven fabric at 70 °C within 4.5 h. ► NCC pre-grafted on PET promotes the nucleation and crystal growth of TiO2 at low temperature. ► The TiO2/PET nanocomposites exhibits good self-cleaning property under solar light.
