Modification in polyethylene-iron oxide joints induced by laser irradiation

► The laser irradiation modifies the UH/UH-Fe2O3 joint at its interface for the filler presence. ► The filler amount controls the deepness of the modified material. ► Low filler amounts (<1 wt%) produce joints with high mechanical strength and vice versa. ► The deepness of the seal can be regulated and applied to disparate geometries.
