Bonding of Cf/SiC composite to Invar alloy using an active cement, Ag-Cu eutectic and Cu interlayer

► Selfmade active cement, Ag-Cu eutectic alloy and pure Cu foils were used for joining Cf/SiC composite and Invar alloy. ► We have revealed the interface structure of the joint. ► The effects of brazing parameters on the microstructure of the Cf/SiC composites/Invar alloy joint are analyzed. ► The optimum brazing process for joining Cf/SiC composite and Invar alloy has been determined.
