- Narrow size magnetite NPs were synthesized by ultrasound assisted coprecipitaion method.
- A formation mechanism for deposition of magnetite NPs on graphene oxide is proposed.
- The formation mechanism supported using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis.
- The modified Langevin equation was used for size estimation of magnetite NPs on M-GO.
- Adsorption properties of M-GO for Co(II) and Sr(II) were investigated.
