A facile method for electrospinning of Ag nanoparticles/poly (vinyl alcohol)/carboxymethyl-chitosan nanofibers

► AgNPs/PVA/CM-chitosan nanofibers were prepared via electrospinning method. ► AgNPs were in situ synthesized in electrospinning solution via a facile method. ► AgNPs distributed homogeneously on the surface of nanofibers. ► The prepared nanofibers possessed certain antibacterial ability against Escherichia coli. ► The AgNPs containing nanofibers had potential as antibacterial biomaterial.
