Fabrication of silica-decorated graphene oxide nanohybrids and the properties of composite epoxy coatings research

â¿¢Silica attached to graphene oxide surface with the load of homogeneous distribution is prepared.â¿¢Silica is anchored on graphene oxide sheets which benefits from synergistic effect of APTS and GPTS.â¿¢The SiO2â¿¿GO (1:5) sheet hybrids have fine dispersion in the epoxy resin.â¿¢The incorporation of SiO2â¿¿GO hybrids significantly enhances corrosion resistance of epoxy coatings.
