Study of the corrosion products formed on a multiphase CuAlBe alloy in a sodium chloride solution by micro-Raman and in situ AFM measurements

► The use of AFM and micro-Raman is a great complement for the corrosion studies. ► The aluminium content of each phase affects the formation of the corrosion products. ► γ2 phase suffers dealuminization, while α′ exhibit a high corrosion stability. ► CuCl2 and a Cu2O/CuO surface film are the stable products formed after long times.
