A study on in vitro and in vivo bioactivity of HA/45S5 composite films by pulsed laser deposition

► High substrate temperature improves the properties of the HA/BG composite PLD film. ► Comparative study of the bioactivity of the amorphous film and crystal film. ► The amorphous film has faster dissolution rate and reprecipitation rate in SBF solution than crystal film. ► The 600 °C film is more suitable to serve as clinical application than the 200 °C film.
