Study on Fe-Al-Si in situ composite coating fabricated by laser cladding

► Fe-Al-Si composite coatings were prepared by laser cladding. ► The composite coating is uniform, free of crack and porosity. ► The Fe-Al-Si composite coatings consist mainly of Fe, SiO2 and Al2Fe3Si4. The hardness and wear resistance of coating significantly improved.
