Effect of n-HA with different surface-modified on the properties of n-HA/PLGA composite

► A new surface modification method for n-HA of combining stearic acid with surface-grafting l-lactic was adopted. ► Three different surface modification methods for n-HA were compared in detail. ► The new surface modification method was the most ideal method in this study. ► The g3-n-HA/PLGA composite had the highest bending strength, which would be potential to be used as bone fracture internal fixation materials.
