Preparation of superhydrophobic and UV blocking cotton fabric via sol-gel method and self-assembly

► Transparency and stability nano-Al sol was prepared with Al(NO3)3. ► Sample by Al sol and sodium stearate showed superhydrophobicity and UV protection. ► Hydrophobic treatment does not introduce new phases of Al coating.
