Surface modification of PDMS using atmospheric glow discharge polymerization of tetrafluoroethane for immobilization of biomolecules

► Thin film was deposited on PDMS with fluorocarbon plasma at atmospheric pressure. ► All coated surfaces were treated with proteins. ► Amount of protein adsorbed oscillated with increasing plasma exposure time. ► Stranski-Krastanov mode of thin film growth was explained for the irregularity.
