Substrate effects on formation and hydrogenation of Mg-Ni films

► We investigate hydrogenation property dependence on film-substrate interface. ► Mg-Ni film were co-sputtered on Si and expanded PTFE substrates. ► Two different plasma modes were used to modify surface of Si and expanded PTFE. ► Significant influence of interface changes to hydrogenation properties was measured.
