Surface modification of poly(styrene-b-(ethylene-co-butylene)-b-styrene) elastomer via photo-initiated graft polymerization of poly(ethylene glycol)

► Saturated medical SBC was subjected to graft polymerization for the first time. ► The PEGMA-modified SEBS had a water contact angle of about 60°. ► Protein adsorption was reduced by 55% after PEGMA grafted on the SEBS. ► Platelet adhesion of SEBS was greatly improved by graft polymerization of PEGMA.
