Facile and low cost chemosynthesis of nanostructured PbS with tunable optical properties

► Synthesized nanosphere and nano cubo-octahedron PbS thin films with tunable optical properties. ► Effect of deposition time on the structure, morphology and optical properties was investigated. ► The possible growth mechanism of nanosphere and nano cubo-octahedron is proposed.
