A spin echo sequence with a single-sided bipolar diffusion gradient pulse to obtain snapshot diffusion weighted images in moving media

► We propose a new method for improving estimation of self-diffusion parameters in moving media. ► The proposed sequence utilizing a single bipolar diffusion sensitizing gradient within a spin echo sequence. ► This method shortens the diffusion time, while reducing the impact of inhomogeneity. ► A novel MRI phantom was designed to demonstrate the robustness of the proposed DWI sequence. ► This MRI phantom can exhibit a range of complex rotational motions.
