Longitudinal NMR parameter measurements of Japanese pear fruit during the growing process using a mobile magnetic resonance imaging system

► We developed an electrically mobile MRI system for outdoor fruit studies. ► We measured NMR parameters of harvested and in situ pear fruit for 3 months. ► We clarified that the relaxation mechanism of the protons is the surface relaxation. ► This is the first long-time outdoor fruit study by a portable MRI system.
