Experimental demonstration of diffusion signal enhancement in 2D DESIRE images

► We implemented 2D DESIRE on a 17.2 T and 1 T T/m gradient strength system. ► Phase-modulated square pulses and spiral k-space trajectory produced 60 μm “holes”. ► We obtained DESIRE images of water and silicone oil phantoms. ► Experimental enhancements agreed with theoretical predictions.
