Graphene moiré structure grown on a pseudomorphic metal overlayer supported on Ru(0001)

► Sample-sized graphene prepared on Co/Ru and Pd/Ru. ► Graphene-metal interaction modified by a pseudomorphic monolayer of TM. ► Graphene moirés display identical periodicity on Ru, Co/Ru, and Pd/Ru. ► Graphene moiré height corrugations are in order of Co/Ru > Ru > Pd/Ru.
