Graphene on ordered Ni-alloy surfaces formed by metal (Sn, Al) intercalation between graphene/Ni(111)

► In this study, formation of interface alloys between graphene and its growth-substrate is investigated. ► Graphene is grown on Ni(111) by UHV-CVD. ► Metals (Sn or Al) are deposited and intercalated. ► Sn and Al form (ordered) alloys with the Ni-substrate.
