Surface structure of In2O3(111) (1 × 1) determined by density functional theory calculations and low energy electron diffraction

► The surface structure of In2O3(111) has been determined by LEED. ► High quality single crystal samples prepared by MBE. ► The structure is close to a bulk cut structure with small relaxations. ► DFT calculations confirm both lateral and vertical relaxations are small.
