Effect of A-site cations on the broadband-sensitive upconversion of AZrO3:Er3+,Ni2+ (AÂ =Â Ca, Sr, Ba) phosphors

Broadband-sensitive upconversion in the Ni2+, Er3+ codoped AZrO3 (A = Ca,Sr,Ba) perovskite systems were studied in detail to elucidate the effect of A-site cations on the upconversion efficiency and can be utilized to harvest the unused solar radiation of present silicon solar cells to surpass the limiting efficiency.193
