Insuffizienz des medialen Tarsometatarsal-Strahles und OSG-Valgus-Deformität - Beobachtungen aus der fußchirurgischen Praxis

Ankle valgus deformity or instability and insufficiency of the medial tarsometatarsal ray are closely connected to each other. Instability or elevation of the medial ray can contribute to ankle valgus decompensation under certain circumstances and vice versa. Stabilization of the medial tarsometatarsal ray has a stabilizing effect on the ankle joint to some degree. This close relationship and possible therapeutical consequences are demonstrated in different examples.
