Mitochondrial uncoupling in the melanocortin system differentially regulates NPY and POMC neurons to promote weight-loss

These data show a novel central anti-obesity mechanism of action of DNP and highlight the potential for selective melanocortin mitochondrial uncoupling to target metabolic disorders.
