The synergism of temperature, pH and growth phases on heavy metal biosorption by two environmental isolates

- Both isolates can resist to high levels of Cu2+ and Cr6+ contamination.
- Cells in stationary phase are more susceptible to Cu2+ and Cr6+.
- Temperature and pH affect the biosorption capacity.
- Bacterial cells prefer to remove Cu2+ rather than Cr6+.
