Titania/CnTAB Nanoskeleton as adsorbent and photocatalyst for removal of alkylphenols dissolved in water

► Removal of alkylphenols from water by TiO2/CnTAB Nanoskeleton. ► No significant adsorption of alkylphenols onto calcined TiO2/CnTAB Nanoskeleton. ► Adsorption dominated by hydrophobic interaction between alkylphenols and CnTAB. ► Adsorption of alkylphenols promoted with CnTAB content in TiO2/CnTAB Nanoskeleton. ► Complete removal of alkylphenols by adsorption and photocatalytic degradation.
