Electrochemical degradation of PNP at boron-doped diamond and platinum electrodes

► Low concentration of Cl− could improve the removal of PNP. ► High chlorine concentration inhibited the COD removal. ► BDD electrode was highly effective for the conversion of PNP to organic acids. ► Accumulation of degradation intermediates was happened at Pt electrode.
