Efficient photocatalytic reduction of aqueous Cr(VI) over flower-like SnIn4S8 microspheres under visible light illumination

► SnIn4S8 was used in photocatalytic reduction of aqueous Cr(VI) for the first time. ► Flower-like SnIn4S8 microspheres with numerous uniform pores were fabricated. ► High visible light photocatalytic activity and good photocatalytic stability.
