Aerobic decolorization and degradation of Acid Red B by a newly isolated Pichia sp. TCL

► We firstly report that Pichia sp. is able to degrade azo dyes aerobically. ► Pichia sp. TCL possesses excellent abilities toward various textile dyes. ► The decolorization conditions for Acid Red B were determined. ► The partial degradation pathway was proposed by HPLC-MS analysis.
