Comparative biochemical and RAPD analysis in two varieties of rice (Oryza sativa) under arsenic stress by using various biomarkers

► Arsenite (AsIII) stress was tested in two varieties of rice, IR64 and PB1. ► Physiological, biochemical and RAPD profiles were analyzed under (AsIII) stress. ► PB1 variety was found more tolerant than IR64. ► Genomic template stability was significantly affected at all AsIII concentrations. ► Information can be used as eco-toxicological tool in bio-monitoring arsenic pollution.
