Distribution, source identification, and historical trends of organic micropollutants in coastal sediment in Jakarta Bay, Indonesia

► Spatial distribution of PAHs, LABs and PCBs in Jakarta Bay was revealed. ► Sedimentary PAHs in Jakarta Bay showed intensive petrogenic inputs. ► LABs concentrations and low I/E ratios indicated non- or poorly-treated sewage. ► TABs, the branch alkyl benzene, were detected in the coastal area. ► Vertical profiles showed increasing input of pollutants since several decades ago.
