A new coherence test procedure of environmental quality objectives based on multi-media monitoring data and its application to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in Korea

► Pollutants experience cross-media transport. ► Environmental quality objectives (EQOs) have been independently derived for each media. ► Those EQOs may not always be met simultaneously among multiple media. ► We present a new coherence test procedure and results based on monitoring data. ► A number of the proposed MPCs of PAHs were determined to be incoherent in Korea.
