Biodegradable and biocompatible epoxidized vegetable oil modified thermostable poly(vinyl chloride): Thermal and performance characteristics post biodegradation with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Achromobacter sp.

► Bacterial strains were successfully identified by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. ► Plasticized PVC was biodegraded by P. aeruginosa and Achromobacter sp. bacteria. ► Significant biodegradation of plasticized PVC was observed post 180 days. ► Pristine PVC did not support any microbial growth.
