Efficient MgO-based mesoporous CO2 trapper and its performance at high temperature

► Novel MgO-Al2O3 adsorbent is prepared in a co-precipitation method for the first time. ► Magnesia is even distributed in the mesoporous composite. ► It can efficiently trap CO2 at 200 °C under atmospheric pressure. ► This composite can be regenerated at 600 °C, stable in the recycle adsorption.
