Tantalum (oxy)nitrides: Preparation, characterisation and enhancement of photo-Fenton-like degradation of atrazine under visible light

► The photocatalytic activity of TaON for Fe3+ reduction is higher than that of Ta3N5. ► Atrazine degradation was accelerated significantly by tantalum (oxy)nitrides sample. ► The regenerated catalyst displays considerably stable performance for atrazine degradation.
