Utilization of recycled glass derived from cathode ray tube glass as fine aggregate in cement mortar

► A recycling/treatment process to remove lead on funnel glass surface is described. ► Utilizing recycled funnel glass in mortar can reduce hazardous CRT glass wastes. ► Effects of CRT glass content on the properties of cement mortar are studied. ► Fly ash can effectively mitigate ASR expansion of mortar even at 100% glass content. ► Alkaline medium in cement matrix successfully prevented the leaching of lead.
