The cannabinoid receptor CB1 inverse agonist AM251 potentiates the anxiogenic activity of urocortin I in the basolateral amygdala

► UcnI in the basolateral amygdala elicited an increase in anxiety-like behavior. ► The CB1 inverse agonist AM251 also evoked anxiety behavior in the elevated plus maze. ► AM251 pretreatment potentiated the anxiogenic effects of UcnI.
