Nitrosylation: An adverse factor in Uremic Hemolytic Syndrome. Antitoxin effect of Ziziphus mistol Griseb

► Stx and Hly simulated nitric oxide and nitrosylation of proteins. ► Stx and Hly provoked increase in the oxidation of lipid and proteins in normal blood. ► Ziziphus mistol counteracted oxidative stress decreasing the effect of toxins. ► Nitrosylated proteins/AOPP ratio was higher in UHS patients than in children controls.
