Antimutagenic evaluation of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 in vitro and in vivo, with the Ames test

► Vitamins B are animutagenic against mutation induced by Norfloxacin and Nalidicic acid. ► Urinary mutagens induced by quinolones and its metabolism are reduced by vitamins B. ► Vitamines B did not reduce CYP450 metabolism of 2AA or 2AF. ► Vitamin B1, reduced mutagenesis produced by the DNA alkylating agents MNNG and ENNG.
