Oxidative stress induced apoptosis of human lung carcinoma (A549) cells by a novel copper nanorod formulation

► First report on synthesis of almond extract capped copper nanorods. ► Cu nanorods have the ability to induce apoptotic cell death by elevating oxidative stress. ► Its potential application as a possible anticancer agent is indicated.
