Interleukin-10 gene polymorphisms and chronic/aggressive periodontitis susceptibility: A meta-analysis based on 14 case-control studies

► We assess the effects of IL-10 gene polymorphisms on periodontitis susceptibility in a meta-analysis. ► IL-10 −819 and −592 polymorphisms are associated with chronic periodontitis risk. ► IL-10 −1082 gene polymorphism shows no indication of an association with periodontitis.
