Phylogenetic analysis of nonstructural protein 5 (NSP5) gene sequences in porcine rotavirus B strains

► We demonstrate sequences of nonstructural protein 5 genes from 22 porcine RVBs collected in Japan. ► NSP5 genes of porcine RVBs can be broadly divided into three genotypes distinctive from other RVBs. ► In Japan, multiple porcine RVB strains with different genotypes are circulating at several farms.
